PRINCIPAL'S UPDATE

We had another very special mass this week - Gerhard Cardinal Müller, who is originally from Germany, was the presider. It was a huge honor for us to have him celebrate at a school mass.

This coming Friday, our 8th graders will be hosting a spaghetti dinner in the multipurpose room. This is a wonderful opportunity for fellowship, and it helps us to offset the cost of the 8th-grade Washington, D.C., trip. We hope to see you there!

In Christ,

Chris Milliron

GOSPEL VALUE SPOTTING

The Catholic faith is an integral part of our daily curriculum. We emphasize Gospel values such as respect, honesty, responsibility, compassion, and teamwork for all students. We have restarted our weekly drawing where classes displaying these values are "caught being good" and win a free dress day on the following Monday.

Congrats to Middle School! On two separate days, Mrs. Cannon spotted them all picking up sweatshirts, lunchboxes, and lanyards from the playground before lining up. They will get a special dress-down day Monday.

CARDINAL MULLER

Saint Pius X was pleased to welcome His Eminence, Gerhard Cardinal Müller, this week. Cardinal Müller, a theologian and former bishop of Regensburg, served as prefect of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith from 2012 to 2017, held numerous prominent roles within the Vatican, and has authored over 600 works, including editing the Complete Works of Joseph Ratzinger. In partnership with the Saint Paul Center for Biblical Theology and Saint Augustine’s Press, Cardinal Müller visited South Bend as part of a pastoral trip through the United States.

CUSTODIAN DAY - OCTOBER 2nd

BAND'S SPECIAL GUEST

This month, Msgr. Mike made a special guest appearance in the band classes and was very impressed with the band’s progress. He even conducted a few songs himself!
