THE EXPO IS HERE | Sunday, October 11
For months, we’ve been bringing recovery resources to the communities of Pacific Palisades and Malibu. On October 11, we’re putting it on the streets.
The PaliBu Resource & Recovery Expo will bring more than 150 businesses, builders, architects, lenders, agencies, nonprofits, resilience experts and community organizations into the heart of Pacific Palisades for one extraordinary afternoon devoted to rebuilding, restoring and moving forward.
People call it “The Farmers Market for the Recovery” because that’s how it feels: a place to walk, find a lot of the resources you need, some you didn't know you needed but are glad to explore, ask questions, compare options, meet the people doing the work—and find solutions.
And this Expo is about ideas as much as resources.
Throughout the afternoon, our Expo Talks will tackle three of the biggest questions facing our communities:
11:30 AM | FINANCING THE RECOVERY
How do we actually finance the road home—and the recovery of our businesses and community?
12:30 PM | THE ARCHITECTURE OF PROGRESS
What are we building back, and how do design, resilience and the character of our community shape what comes next?
1:30 PM | THE POLICY OF RESTORING A COMMUNITY
What should our next state leaders understand about what it takes to bring a disaster-impacted community back?
These are not abstract conversations. They are the questions people across Pacific Palisades and Malibu are confronting every day. We’re bringing the people, products, expertise and conversation together in one place.
