Opening the Church for Sacraments & Private Prayer
As we mentioned and as you may have heard in the local news, the Archdiocese has released detailed procedures for parishes to begin opening churches for select sacraments and individual prayer. We have started to work on a plan for Ascension. We will send out an email early this week with details and a call for volunteers. In the meantime, you can go to www.archchicago.org/coronavirus/reopening for information.
Dear Parishioners,

May is a month when we honor Mary and mothers. Therefore we're excited to share that the  Ascension Church  family has the unique opportunity to support at-risk pregnant women, mothers and babies in our community. Aid for Women operates five pregnancy care centers and two residential programs in the Chicago metropolitan area and serves thousands of women each year. To learn more about Aid for Women’s life-saving work, please visit www.helpaidforwomen.org .

For the week of  Monday May 18 to Sunday May 24 , we will promote a VIRTUAL BABY BOTTLE FUNDRAISER to help provide essential funding for Aid for Women’s programs. Your donation, no matter what amount, will make a difference in the life of a mother and her baby. (donations can be made at any time beyond these dates)

There are two ways to donate:
  1. Donate online at www.helpaidforwomen.org/babybottle and indicate “Ascension Church” as the sponsoring church.
  2. You may also mail checks payable to “Aid for Women,” and mail to
Aid for Women
8 S. Michigan Ave., Suite 1418
Chicago, IL 60603
Include on the Memo line: "Baby Bottle Fundraiser / Ascension Church"

We thank you in advance for your support of Aid for Women! May God continue to bless you abundantly for your generosity.
Support Ascension Church

We know this is a difficult time for many. This is a uniquely difficult time for our parish as well as we rely greatly on donations received during the offertory collection at Mass. Because we will not be gathering in person we ask you to consider donating online or by mail. If you are able, please make a generous contribution to our Sunday collection. Your donation helps support all of the important work we do, and the people who make our opportunities to gather in person or online possible. While we won’t be gathering in person this year, our work continues.

You can donate online by using a credit card or checking account via our   GiveCentral webpage , or by texting 'Sunday' to (708) 400-7396 with a smart phone.

Or, you may mail your gifts to Ascension Church, 808 S. East Avenue, Oak Park, IL 60304.  Thank you for your generosity!
