What's Happening

End of June

Children's Summer Workshops

June 21- September 6

From June 21 through September 6, we will offer Children’s Summer Workshops during the 10 AM service. Children will begin worship with their families and then be dismissed during the service for 30–40 minutes of fun activities and learning. Nursery care will also be available during the 10 AM service.

June 21st & 28th Program

We will kick off our summer workshop series with our Artist-in-Residence, Elaine Kurie. Elaine will join us on June 21 and June 28 to lead a special Scripture Art Workshop. Using our favorite Bible verses as inspiration, children and families will create beautiful canvas artwork to take home or display in our Sunday School classrooms. Parents are invited to join us for these first workshops of the summer season as we explore Scripture through creativity, fellowship, and fun.

Brunch in a Bag

June 28th

Brunch in a Bag is Christ Church's Feeding Ministry. Every Sunday, sandwiches and snacks are prepared and given to those in our community in need. The children, youth, and their parents are invited to help every 8 weeks. This is a great outreach opportunity for families to participate in together. All are welcome! If you would like to join our merry group, please contact the Reverend Randy Parks at (862) 266-0513 or randolph.parks@atlantichealth.org. The Youth Team is scheduled for Brunch in a bag on: June 28, August 23, October 18 and December 13.

Take Us Out to the Ball Game!

Friday, August 21st

Christ Church will be attending the Sussex County Miners' Game at Skylands Stadium, Friday, August 21st. We have reserved a suite behind home plate; cost is $25 per person which includes admission and a buffet dinner provided by the Barnyard Restaurant. All are welcome! Sunday School Recap

Sunday, June 14th

This past Sunday we had our End-of-the-Year Sunday School Celebration!

We sang our favorite songs with Mrs. Mello, played games outside and celebrated our faithful teachers during worship. Each child was given a Sunday School Yearbook to remind them of the fun we had this year. I big shout out to Anna Hackelberg, our 5th and 6th grade teacher who had the idea and made the beautiful yearbooks. After worship, we lifted up the prayers from our prayer wall and then burn them as a symbol of placing them into God's hands. We then finished the morning with delicious s'mores! Make sure to say thank you to our faithful teachers who help our children grow in faith each week.

Sunday School Team

Have you ever considered helping teach Sunday School? The Sunday School is growing, and we are looking for more volunteers. We have a fantastic group of kids filled with faith, joy and creativity. You don't have to be a Bible scholar or professional educator to be a great Sunday School teacher. All you need is a love for children, and God. Teachers are provided with weekly lessons, resources and a co-teacher. We would prefer a commitment of at least twice a month. Contact Jenny Streeter if you are interested.
