9:50- break for Sunday School and church

11:15-11:40- finish sandwiches and overall set up

11:40-move food and set up tables in church

11:45-12:15- serve meals to our guests and church members

12:15-12:30- break down tables, move things back into the kitchen and clean up the kitchen

12:30- leave

OK, I hope to see some of you. Things will be ready for set up around 9:25 in the kitchen. Thank you, everyone and we welcome our Sunday school students who make life a lot more fun

Randy

Brunch in a Bag is Christ Church's Feeding Ministry. Every Sunday, sandwiches and snacks are prepared and given to those in our community in need. The children, youth, and their parents are invited to help every 8 weeks. This is a great outreach opportunity for families to participate in together. All are welcome! If you would like to join our merry group, please contact the Reverend Randy Parks at (862) 266-0513 or randolph.parks@atlantichealth.org. The Youth Team is scheduled for Brunch in a bag on: May 3, June 28, August 23, October 18 and December 13.

Junior Choir Sings in Worship

The Junior Choir will sing "Lord Jesus be Near Me" this Sunday.

Please meet Mrs. Mello and Miss Diana at 9:30 to rehearse.

The Junior Choir is open to all children in grades 2 - 7. Rehearsals take place every week during coffee hour, 11:15 -11:45 a.m. Children are invited to grab a snack at coffee hour and then gather in the Sunday School area for rehearsal. Parents can enjoy coffee hour. The Junior Choir sings every other week and also on high holy days and special services. Rehearsals have begun, so come on down and check us out! If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Debbie Mello, dmello435@gmail.com.

Sunday School Lesson

John 6:1-14

Jesus Feeds 5,000

This week in Sunday School, we will explore John 6:1 to 14, the story of Jesus feeding the five thousand. Together, we will see how a small offering of five loaves and two fish became more than enough when placed in Jesus’ hands. We will talk about what it means to trust God with what we have, even when it feels small, and how God can use each of us to care for others in meaningful ways.

This lesson connects beautifully with our Brunch in a Bag ministry, as our older elementary students and youth step in to help feed others in our community. Just like the boy in the story who offered what he had, we are reminded that every act of kindness matters and that when we serve with open hearts, God can do something truly amazing through us. Randy Parks will lead a separate class for the middle and high school students.

Sunday School Rewind

April 26th

Matthew 22: 1-14

The Wedding Banquet

Last week in Sunday School, we explored Matthew 22:1 to 14, the Parable of the Wedding Banquet. We talked about how God always welcomes and invites us. We also went deeper, discussing times when we have felt left out or ignored by friends and how we can handle those difficult moments with faith and kindness. We enjoyed activities that helped bring the lesson to life, and it was such a special time together.

On Going:

Join the Sunday School Team

Have you ever considered helping teach Sunday School? The Sunday School is growing, and we are looking for more volunteers. We have a fantastic group of kids filled with faith, joy and creativity. You don't have to be a Bible scholar or professional educator to be a great Sunday School teacher. All you need is a love for children, and God. Teachers are provided with weekly lessons, resources and a co-teacher. We would prefer a commitment of at least twice a month. Contact Jenny Streeter if you are interested. You will be invited to join Sunday School for a few weeks to see what it's all about before deciding whether to make a commitment.

Faith Building

Our Sunday School kids are learning the Lord's Prayer, the names of the 12 Disciples and the books of the Bible. We encourage the children to practice at home.

The Lord's Prayer

Our Father, who art in heaven,

 hallowed be thy Name,

thy kingdom come,

thy will be done,

on earth as it is in heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our trespasses,

as we forgive those

who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation,

but deliver us from evil.

For thine is the kingdom,

and the power, and the glory,

for ever and ever.

Amen.
