What's Happening

In Loving Memory of John Cuozzo

May 7, 1946- February 14, 2026

You may remember John as one of the first people who greeted you at coffee hour. He was a kind man who was always thinking of the kids. He took time to get to know each child and learn about their unique interests. Then, he thoughtfully sought out books and videos related to those interests to share with them. This past summer he led music during the summer workshops. He will be greatly missed by our church and the wider community.

Sunday School Lesson

The Centurian's Servant

This week in Sunday School, we will explore the story of the centurion’s servant from Matthew 8:5–13. In this passage, a Roman centurion approaches Jesus with great humility and faith, asking Him to heal his servant. We will talk about what it means to have strong faith and to trust in God. The children will learn that Jesus cares deeply for all people and responds to sincere faith. See you on Sunday!

Jesus Calms the Storm

Last week's Sunday School lesson came from Matthew 8:24–27, the story of Jesus calming the storm. Lots of fun activities happened in the classrooms. The kids made storms, painted, did science experiments and acted out the story. We talked about how Jesus brings us comfort, peace during the “storms” in own lives.

On Going:

Faith Building

Our Sunday School kids are learning the Lord's Prayer, the names of the 12 Disciples and the books of the Bible. We encourage the children to practice at home.

The Lord's Prayer

Our Father, who art in heaven,

 hallowed be thy Name,

thy kingdom come,

thy will be done,

on earth as it is in heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our trespasses,

as we forgive those

who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation,

but deliver us from evil.

For thine is the kingdom,

and the power, and the glory,

for ever and ever.

Amen.
