"Moses and the 10 Commandments"

This Sunday, we'll learn about Moses and the Ten Commandments and how God gives us rules to help us live and love with kindness. After our lesson, we'll have some hands-on fun decorating pumpkins! Please remember to wear clothes that can get messy- it's going to be a creative morning of faith and fall fun!

"Moses and The Red Sea"

Exodus 14:1-30

This week, our Sunday School had an exciting lesson about Moses parting the Red Sea- brought to life through hands on science experiments! The kids explored how God's power can make the impossible possible as the watched the water "split" in fun creative ways. It was a great reminder that God is always making a way!

Our Father, who art in heaven,

 hallowed be thy Name, 

thy kingdom come, 

thy will be done, 

on earth as it is in heaven. 

Give us this day our daily bread. 

And forgive us our trespasses, 

as we forgive those 

who trespass against us. 

And lead us not into temptation, 

but deliver us from evil. 

For thine is the kingdom, 

and the power, and the glory, 

for ever and ever. 

Amen.

Learning the Lord's Prayer

Our Sunday School kids are working hard on learning the Lord's Prayer! Each week we practice together. We encourage families to practice at home- maybe before bedtime or at the dinner table. This will help the prayer to become a part of daily life. With a little practice and a lot of heart, all of our kids will soon know this beautiful prayer by heart.

Junior Choir

The Junior Choir is open to all children who are in the 2nd grade through grade 7. Rehearsals are every week during coffee hour. Typically, our rehearsals run from 11:30 until 12:30. The children can grab a snack at coffee hour and then everyone goes down to the Sunday School together to rehearse. Parents can enjoy coffee hour or some also run errands during rehearsal time. The Junior Choir sings every other week and also on high holy days and special services. Rehearsals have begun, so come on down and check us out! Parent's Run on Coffee

Don't have anything to do between 9:30 when you drop your kids off at Sunday School and worship at 10? Now you do! Come enjoy a cup of coffee, mingle with other parents and check out what's happening in Sunday School.

Fall Curriculum

This fall we will continue using the Spark Activate Faith Curriculum. During September, October and November we will focus on 12 Old Testament lessons from Genesis through Jonah. The kids learn through age-appropriate scripture readings, music, crafts, games and discussion. Each week we will gather as a large group sing, share roses and thorns, and hear about the daily lesson. The kids will then break off into their individual classrooms where they will dive deeper into the lesson with an activity and discussion. The Sunday School team has been working hard to create lessons that are fun and engaging for all ages.

• Donations to buy kids tables, comfy seating, decorations and back stairway/ hallway renovation.
• Christmas Pageant Costumes- donations to buy or sew new costumes. Halloween is coming and costumes will be on sale. Please let Jenny Streeter know if you are willing to buy an extra costume to donate to the Sunday School.
