What's Happening

Children & Family Events

at Christ Church

This 45 minute service is geared especially for families and children. We'll begin in the sanctuary and walk to different stations to learn the story of Holy Week. We hope to see you there!

Easter Sunday Services

8AM & 10AM

On Easter Sunday, we look forward to having families worship together! During the service, children are invited to a special Easter Workshop in Holley Hall. They will be excused midway through the service and will return to join their families in time for communion. For our youngest worshippers, nursery care will be available for the entire service.

Egg Hunt following the 10AM Easter Service

The weather report for Sunday says, "A steady rain in the morning".

The egg hunt will be moved inside.

Sunday, April 12th

Sunday School Reminder: We will meet on April 12 at 9:30 AM. The kids will learn more about the Resurrection and enjoy making a special snack (gluten-free options provided!).

Heads up: There will be no weekly email next week.

Sunday School Rewind

Palm Sunday

& Sunday School

Last Sunday, Palm Sunday, the church gathered in the town square, blessed palms and processed to the church waving palm branches and shaking noise makers. Then children then returned to the Sunday School area where they sang songs, learned about Holy Week, read scripture and did crafts to reinforce the lesson. It was a fun way to begin Holy Week.

Join the Sunday School Team

Have you ever considered helping teach Sunday School? The Sunday School is growing, and we are looking for more volunteers. We have a fantastic group of kids filled with faith, joy and creativity. You don't have to be a Bible scholar or professional educator to be a great Sunday School teacher. All you need is a love for children, and God. Teachers are provided with weekly lessons, resources and a co-teacher. We would prefer a commitment of at least twice a month. Contact Jenny Streeter if you are interested. You will be invited to join Sunday School for a few weeks to see what it's all about before deciding whether to make a commitment.

Faith Building

Our Sunday School kids are learning the Lord's Prayer, the names of the 12 Disciples and the books of the Bible. We encourage the children to practice at home.

Brunch in a Bag

Brunch in a Bag is Christ Church's Feeding Ministry. Every Sunday, sandwiches and snacks are prepared and given to those in our community in need. The children, youth, and their parents are invited to help every 8 weeks. This is a great outreach opportunity for families to participate in together. All are welcome! If you would like to join our merry group, please contact the Reverend Randy Parks at (862) 266-0513 or randolph.parks@atlantichealth.org. The Youth Team is scheduled for Brunch in a bag on: May 3, June 28, August 23, October 18 and December 13.

Junior Choir

The Junior Choir is open to all children in grades 2 - 7. Rehearsals take place every week during coffee hour, 11:15 -11:45 a.m. Children are invited to grab a snack at coffee hour and then gather in the Sunday School area for rehearsal. Parents can enjoy coffee hour. The Junior Choir sings every other week and also on high holy days and special services. Rehearsals have begun, so come on down and check us out! Parent's Run on Coffee

Don't have anything to do between 9:30 a.m., when you drop your kids off at Sunday School, and worship at 10 a.m.? Now you do! Come enjoy a cup of coffee, mingle with other parents, and check out what's happening in Sunday School.

Preschool - 6th Grade

The Christ Church Sunday School uses the Spark Activate Faith Curriculum. This spring, the lessons focus on the stories of Jesus' teachings, death and resurrections. The kids learn through music, scripture study, discussion, games and crafts.
