The Love of God requires the Wholeness of our Being

The more I learn and grow in my Christian vocation, the more I am aware that it is only when we apply ourselves in the wholeness of body, mind, and spirit, that we can experience the love of God as a deeper reality. We human beings were created in unity of visible and invisible components that always need to work together to maintain balance and to progress in happiness. One of the perennial lies in society in certain groups of ideologies has been thinking it is possible to separate the body from the mind or the spirit from the body. As Christians, the first commandment continues being the normative and concrete request from Jesus to love God with all our heart, mind, soul, and strength.

One of the tangible ways of loving God in wholeness is through the annual stewardship pledge of generosity to your church. The desire to commit financially to your church manifests your intention to place God at the center of your life and clearly demonstrates the trust you have in Him. In the wholeness of body, mind, and spirit, the pledge symbolizes the returning of the received blessings, the longing to grow in God’s grace, and the orientation of your present and future in openness and wonder knowing that you are a good steward and God is the owner.

I am thankful to all who filled their pledges for 2022, and I invite everyone to trust and commit in body, mind and spirit to God who gives us all that we have.

Blessings,
Fr. Fabian

Bendiciones,
P. Fabian
