Equipping Sports Families

As a parent of a child in travel sports, it's common to play on Sundays, taking a whole family away from regular church attendance for extended periods. This often leads to guilt for not attending church regularly, and some may even question if your priorities are in order.

Travel sports can conflict with your faith community and hinder your spiritual growth, straining your relationships. As the father of a travel sports athlete, my wife and I had to navigate these issues while also trying to live as followers of Jesus Christ. To help other sports parents, I have tools to help set guardrails for time and money, build accountable relationships, and turn their travel sports experience from frustration to joy.

Now that my daughter plays college sports, and I coach at the club and high school level, I spend many Sundays on the sports field and in the gym rather than attending church. I set boundaries and prioritize my time to stay committed to my local church. The opportunity to make disciples for Jesus Christ can happen where you live, work, and play, and it begins at home by disciplining your children. Disciple-making requires staying connected to the local church, and I want to help you take your travel sports experience to the next level for the Kingdom of God.
