Flying into Summer this week as some schools have dismissed for the season and others are finishing up this week. What do you have planned? We have so many things in store for you at the studio we hope you make time for your yoga practice.
Summer is the Pitta season in Ayurveda, the sister science to yoga. This means the weather will be hotter and if we overstimulate our life with too much work or too much activity we might experience burnout or become agitated easily. The best way to fly into summer is by making time for relaxation and reflection. We are ready to help at Sunshine so please book your classes and make time for yourself.

Now is the time to plan Yoga Teacher Training for this coming fall as our weekend sessions are filling up. We have a one weekend a month option that will run from August 2021 through May 2022, with just a few more spaces available.
Our Teacher Training has a second track to certification on Tuesday and Thursdays from 12-4, beginning August and running through December 2021. These are completely separate groups with both completing 200 hours and a Yoga Alliance Approved Certification. We have payment plans available and your Sunshine Yoga and Aerial Membership are included with your registration.

July 10th, I will be hosting my first Reiki Level One Attunement and Certification at the studio. Reiki Level one attunes you to Reiki energy to heal your energetic body. Reiki is energy work for the subtle body. If you are interested in this training sign up now as there are only a few spots left. This week's Pose of the Week is better with a helping hand or several. Airplane pose or Dekasana. Very similar to Virabhadrasana III however instead of reaching the arms overhead, they are pulled back by our sides to resemble airplane wings. Stand in Tadasana or tall mountain pose and root down with one foot, gently lean forward with your heart and pick up the second foot while maintaining an energetic balance throughout the entire body. Reach both hands back by your hips with active fingers.
Airplane pose is great for balance and connection to the self and the universe while creating balance in our yoga practice.
