I hope that you're enjoying February and its classic mix of weather, where it can feel like springtime and harsh winter all in a single day. Remarkable. But I do see blossoms on the cherry trees and spring bulbs popping up - we've nearly made it to spring! Soon we'll be adding nettles and other early season treats to our menus. I'm ready!

Beginning March 4 Lark will offer Sunday Suppers on the mezzanine. These dinners will be the perfect way to wind down your weekend: a relaxed three course meal paired with a bottle of wine if you choose. Menus will will be regionally focused and announced at the start of each month. Visit our website to see a sample menu and learn more about Sunday Suppers.

Our friend Jennifer K. O'Neil has joined our team as the wine director of Lark and she's been a fantastic addition. Here's a note from Jenny about her current favorite on Lark's list: 
" My current 'crush' wine on the list at Lark is the 2014 Gulfi Cerasuolo di Vittoria ($84).  This gem is from  south-east Sicily , where the historic vineyards are planted at 1500 feet. Horses plow the vines lush with the native grapes Nero d' Avola and Frappato. When we tasted it at a staff training recently everyone had great descriptors: roasty, herbs, blueberry,  bitter sweet baking coco, mild tannins. Yum. This organically made vino is just perfect with our Octopus, Rib eye or squab. Come try it!"

We were thrilled that  Southpaw Pizza was featured on Eater's list of Essential Pizza spots in Seattle. Thanks, Eater! Southpaw has been enjoying lots of great collaborations with our friends and neighbors. We were proud to contribute to Seattle University's Dance Marathon, which raised thousands of dollars for childhood cancer research, and we just hosted our first KXSU Open Mic Night. We're proud to be part of such a great neighborhood.
