CREATIVE JOURNALING

November 16, 7-8:30PM

Creative Journaling is a form of spiritual practice or another way to worship that connects the creative arts to spiritual meditation and prayer. This is a fun and exciting way to study scripture and engages a close relationship with God in new ways!

Friends, the beauty of this practice is that you do not have to have a lick of creative jeans in your bones to engage with the scripture in this way! The Spirit works through you! You don't even have to have supplies. You are welcome to bring supplies if you have them, but it is not required.

Our next Creative Journaling Session/Workshop will be on Thursday, November 16 from 7:00-8:30 pm (in person) in the Conference Center.

CONNECTIONS BIBLE STUDY

Feel free to invite your friends to this joy-filled gathering on Thursday afternoons. And a bonus...there are homemade cookies almost every week!

WAITING FOR GOD:

Reimagining Church Vitality

Saturday, November 18th, 9am-3pm, St. Andrews Lutheran Church, Bellevue

As a pre-Advent retreat, we’ll explore how the practice of waiting actually offers space for vitality and renewal. In an age of anxiety around declining church resources, how do we reimagine what it means to be Church created in God's image? We'll explore how the four Sunday Scriptures of Advent accompany us in our fears about the future of the church, giving us renewed energy, purpose and focus.

More info & registration here: https://www.lutheransnw.org/events/waiting-for-god-retreat--197/2023-11-18.

Use Code: LIVEBUNDLE2023, when registering.

St. Matthew's Welcome Statement

St. Matthew’s is a passionate, imperfect community of Christ. We boldly affirm people of all cultures, ages, abilities, stories and experiences, skin tones, sexual orientations, gender identities and gender expressions. We trust in the ridiculous love of God that shows no partiality. When our unique identities are used to divide or hurt us, we are committed to reconciliation and healing, so that justice, racial equity, grace and inclusion continue to be our way of life.
