SEA Blue! This Sunday at 10am Central!
This Sunday is the SEA Blue 2020 National, Virtual Prostate Cancer Walk and Run! You can still register or donate at www.seablueprostatewalk.org. Registration this year is Pay What You Can. The event will be webcast live on Sunday, September 13th, from 10am-12pm Central. We hope you will join us to bring more awareness to this Prostate Cancer Awareness Month! Here is some of what you can expect on Sunday...
"Talk to the Docs" at SEA Blue!
One exciting feature of SEA Blue will be our "Talk to the Docs" chat room. During the event, registrants will have the opportunity to ask questions directly to medical experts who will be staffing our chat room. The doctors are:

  • Dr. Alicia Morgans, Associate Professor of Medicine in the Division of Hematology/Oncology at the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago, IL
  • Dr. Scott Eggener, co-director of the UChicago Medicine High-Risk and Advanced Prostate Cancer Clinic (UCHAP)
  • Dr. Stacy Loeb, Professor of Urology and Population Health at the New York University School of Medicine and Manhattan VA
  • Dr. Adam B. Murphy, Assistant Professor of Urology and Preventive Medicine at Northwestern Medicine
SEE Blues at SEA Blue!
This year our entertainment will have a blues theme, including:

  • Bobby Rush is a legendary, Grammy award winning blues artist. He is a Blues Hall of Famer, a 12 time Blues Music Award Winner, and B.B. King Entertainer of the Year. In a normal, non-COVID year, he would be touring the world. This year, he will be joining us virtually to offer words of encouragement to men as well as an exclusive acoustic SEA Blue performance.
  • Joseph "Mojo" Morganfield and the Mannish Boyz is one of the top blues groups in Chicago. They will be performing at SEA Blue and streaming online. The band will World Premiere a song from their upcoming CD release. Joseph is the son of blues legend Muddy Waters. He will speak to us about the importance of prostate cancer awareness and testing.
  • Matt Hendricks is keeping the blues alive with his gritty, heartfelt singing, old school guitar playing and genuine original songs. He has won the Windy City Blues Challenge in 2009 and 2016. Equally at home as a solo performer or with a band, Matt has always been a fan of the blues. We are happy to have Matt performing at the event and streaming online.
  • Silent Auction! We will also be holding an auction which will give you a rare chance to own a variety of one-of-a-kind items, including: signed Buddy Guy guitars, signed Buddy Guy vinyl records, signed sports memorabilia, and more! (Bidding open now and running through Sept 20 at https://www.charityauctionstoday.com/auctions/SEA-Blue-2020-Auction-14540).

Although it is now too late to order these items to receive them in time for the SEA Blue event, these high-end fashions are built for the long haul. So you can still participate in our mission of awareness by helping us spread the word well after the event is over. And a portion of all sales will go to the SEA Blue campaign to help Us TOO offer support, education, advocacy, and awareness at no cost to those affected by prostate cancer.

Do good. Look good. Feel good.

SEA Blue is a celebration of life, of those who have risen to the challenge to fight prostate cancer, of the lives that have been lost to the disease, and of the people we will help to combat it in the future through Support, Education, Advocacy, and Awareness (the SEA in SEA Blue).
