📰 SPORTSCAR365: MORE THAN JUST A RACE

Second Annual Veterans Race of Remembrance Set for Sunday

The motorsport community is taking notice!

Sportscar365 has published a feature highlighting this year's expanded eight-hour race and, more importantly, the veterans whose lives are being changed through Operation Motorsport.

Among those featured is U.S. Marine Staff Sergeant Nathan Munnings, who will mark his retirement from military service during Sunday's event after 13 years in uniform.

Connie Nyholm, CEO and majority owner of VIR, is excited to be part of it.

“VIR proudly supports veterans and active military throughout the year, but this is really a dedicated time for us to come together to honor both the sacrifices men and women make for our freedom and the world of recovery through motorsports,” she said.

The article also features Canadian veteran Ryan Hendry, whose experience with Operation Motorsport demonstrates just how meaningful the right opportunity, team, and environment can be during recovery.

These are the stories that remind us why we do what we do.

❤️ 30 VETERANS. COUNTLESS STORIES. ONE TEAM.

This is our WHY.

Last year, 22 Operation Motorsport beneficiaries joined us at VIR for our inaugural Veterans Race of Remembrance. This year, we're bringing together 30 veteran beneficiaries from the United States and Canada.

Some will be behind the wheel. Others will be turning wrenches, supporting race teams, working alongside technical officials, experiencing hot laps, or simply reconnecting with a community that understands the importance of belonging.

They come from different military backgrounds, different branches of service, and different stages of recovery. But for this weekend, they're all part of the same team.

Through the generosity of our race team partners, volunteers, sponsors, and supporters, these veterans are being given more than a weekend at the racetrack. They're being given opportunities to contribute, to challenge themselves, to build relationships, and to rediscover a sense of purpose.

Thirty beneficiaries. Thirty individual journeys. One shared mission.

Veteran Recovery Through Motorsport.
