Psalm 23, by John August Swansonm from Art in the Christian Tradition,

a project of the Vanderbilt Divinity Library, Nashville, TN.

MAY 10, 2026

The Journey is Home

Psalm 90:1-2, 16-17 and Revelation 21:1-5

We spend much of our lives searching for home — a place where we belong and are fully known. Yet in the wilderness, Moses discovered that home is not a destination to reach, but a Presence traveling with us all along. During the 10:30 a.m. worship service, we will celebrate and bless our graduates, wrapping each one in a prayer shawl or blanket made by our Knitting Ministry as a sign of love, care, and God’s abiding nearness wherever

they go.

This year we hope to collect a full two tons of food and household supplies. To do your part, contact your local coordinator, listed on the shopping list. Or bring donations to church this Sunday to put in the little red wagon.

Youth PJ Party

Sunday, 5/10, 5:00-7:00 p.m. | Grace Gallery

Come take a break from the stress of end-of-school work and let's have a PJ Party! We'll have a cereal bar, build a blanket fort, and set up the projector to watch a movie or show. Feel free to bring some extra blankets to make the ultimate fort.

We Need Your Voice in the Planning Study to Begin This Week

The future of First Congregational Church of Boulder will be shaped by the voices of those who call this community home – and that means you!

As you have probably heard, we are exploring several important priorities for the future, including strengthening our financial foundation through an unrestricted endowment, lessening our carbon footprint by utilizing geothermal energy in our sanctuary, and supporting a future mission or social justice project.

As we continue with our discernment, we need to hear from you. On May 11, we begin a campaign planning study. The study will help us understand which of these priorities matter most to you and measure support for a potential capital campaign. We have hired Fellowship Development to assist us in this effort.

In the coming days, you should receive a packet in the mail that includes a fact sheet about the proposed priorities and details about how you can share your thoughts and opinions in the planning study.

Your participation is essential. The more feedback we receive, the better equipped we will be to make thoughtful, informed decisions about the future of our church.

Thank You! For Your Support of Casa de Paz

The FCC Knitting Group would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who knitted hats, purchased hats, donated yarn, and supported this project in so many ways. Together, we knitted over 40 hats and were able to raise about $1,000 for Casa de Paz Colorado, an organization that supports immigrants and works to help keep families together during detention and immigration transitions. We are deeply grateful for the generosity, compassion, and community spirit that made this effort possible.
