Hymn of Praise Easter People Raise Your Voices (UMH #304)
Easter people, raise your voices,
 sounds of heaven in earth should ring.
Christ has brought us heaven’s choices;
 heavenly music, let it ring.
Alleluia! Alleluia! Easter people, let us sing.

Fear of death can no more stop us
 from our pressing here below.
For our Lord empowered us to
 triumph over every foe.
Alleluia! Alleluia!
On to victory now we go.

Every day to us is Easter,
 with its resurrection song.
When in trouble move the faster
 to our God who rights the wrong.
Alleluia! Alleluia!
 See the power of heavenly throngs.

Prayer of Intercession

Prayer of Confession
Good and Loving God, we are humbled by the way you truly know us, how you care for us, and how you go ahead of us to lead us in your right ways. We’ve experienced your sacrificial love and care, yet we often fail to hear your call to love you and others in truth and action. Forgive us for our frequent complaints, our neglect of those in need, and our hesitancy to sacrifice as we heed your call to be Christ’s living witnesses. Forgive us, and abide in us by the power of your Spirit so that our lives may reveal our love for and trust in Jesus Christ, our risen Lord. Amen.

I Was There to Hear Your Borning Cry v. 1
I was there to hear your borning cry,
 I’ll be there when you are old.
I rejoiced the day you were baptized,
 to see your life unfold.

When you heard the wonder of the Word
 I was there to cheer you on;
You were raised to praise the living Lord,
 to whom you now belong.

Hymn The Gift of Love (UMH #408)
Though I may speak with bravest fire,
 and have the gift to all inspire,
And have not love; my words are vain,
 as sounding brass, and hopeless gain.

Though I may give all I possess,
 and striving so my love profess,
but not be given by love within,
 the profit soon turns strangely thin.

Come, Spirit, come, our hearts control,
 our spirits long to be made whole.
Let inward love guide every deed;
 by this we worship, and are freed.

HymnO, How I Love Jesus (UMH #170)
There is a name I love to hear,
 I love to sing its worth;
it sounds like music in my ear,
 the sweetest name on earth.
O how I love Jesus, O how I love Jesus,
O how I love Jesus, because he first loved me!

It tells me of a Savior’s love,
 who died to set me free;
it tells me of his precious blood,
 the sinner’s perfect plea.
O how I love Jesus, O how I love Jesus,
O how I love Jesus, because he first loved me!

It tells of one whose loving heart
 can feel my deepest woe;
who in each sorrow bears a part
 that none can bear below.
O how I love Jesus, O how I love Jesus,
O how I love Jesus, because he first loved me!
