Hymn of Praise Come, Christians Join to Sing (UMH #158)
Come, Christians, join to sing:
 Alleluia! Amen!
Loud praise to Christ our King:
 Alleluia! Amen!
Let all, with heart and voice,
 before his throne rejoice;
Praise is his gracious choice.
 Alleluia! Amen!

Come, lift your hearts on high:
 Alleluia! Amen!
Let praises fill the sky:
 Alleluia! Amen!
He is our guide and friend;
 to us he’ll condescend;
His love shall never end:
 Alleluia! Amen!

Praise yet the Lord again:
 Alleluia! Amen!
Life shall not end the strain:
 Alleluia! Amen!
On heaven’s blissful shore
 his goodness we’ll adore,
Singing for evermore:
 Alleluia! Amen!

Call to Worship:
Pastor: Holy God, as the obligations of the world press upon our lives,
People: Call us into Christ’s way of life.
Pastor: As the words and acts of others trouble our minds,
People: Lead us into Christ’s vision for life.
Pastor: As the cries of the outcast, poor and oppressed weigh on our hearts,
People: Free us for lives of compassion and service.
Pastor: Prepare our hearts, Lord, as we worship you now.
People: Fill us with your Spirit and truth. Amen.

Prayer of Intercession
Prayer of Confession
Lord Jesus, You have called us to be your disciples: to follow you faithfully, to serve others willingly and to reflect the glory of your good news. We’ve heard your call, yet often do not listen. We’ve seen the path you point us toward, yet often choose our own way. We’re conflicted, and weary. Forgive us, Lord. Strengthen us for faithful obedience. Guide us in your ways, such that goodness and mercy will be revealed as your kingdom is extended to all. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

HymnHave Thine Own Way, Lord v1,4  (UMH #382)
Have thine own way, Lord!
 Have thine own way!
Thou art the potter; I am the clay.

Mold me and make me after thy will,
 while I am waiting, yielding and still.

Have thine own way, Lord!
 Have thine own way!
Hold o’er my being absolute sway,
Fill with thy Spirit till all shall see
 Christ only, always, living in me!

HymnSavior, Like A Shepherd Lead Us, verses 1,3,4 (UMH #381)
Savior, like a shepherd lead us,
 much we need thy tender care;
In thy pleasant pastures feed us,
 for our use thy folds prepare.

Blessed Jesus, blessed Jesus!
 Thou hast brought us, thine we are.
Blessed Jesus, blessed Jesus!
 Thou hast brought us, thine we are.

Thou hast promised to receive us,
 poor and sinful though we be;
Thou hast mercy to relieve us,
 grace to cleanse and power to free.

Blessed Jesus, blessed Jesus!
 We will early turn to thee.
Blessed Jesus, blessed Jesus!
 We will early turn to thee.

Early let us seek thy favor,
 early let us do thy will;
Blessed Lord and only Savior,
 with thy love our bosoms fill.

Blessed Jesus, blessed Jesus!
 Thou hast loved us, love us still.
Blessed Jesus, blessed Jesus!
 Thou hast loved us, love us still.
