Hymn of Praise – All Hail the Power of Jesus’ Name v1,4,6 (UMH #154)
All hail the power of Jesus’ name! Let angels prostrate fall;
Bring forth the royal diadem,
and crown him Lord of all.
Bring forth the royal diadem,
and crown him Lord of all.
Let every kindred, every tribe
on this terrestrial ball,
to him all majesty ascribe,
and crown him Lord of all.
To him all majesty ascribe,
and crown him Lord of all.
O that with yonder sacred throng
we at his feet may fall!
We’ll join the everlasting song,
and crown him Lord of all.
We’ll join the everlasting song,
and crown him Lord of all.

Prayer of Intercession
Prayer of Confession
Merciful God, we are thankful and humbled by the depth of your love for us, fully revealed in the life, death and resurrection of Jesus. We trust that we belong to you and we yearn to live according to your ways. Still, Lord, there are times we stray. Forgive us for the times we follow the wicked paths of this world by neglecting those in need and failing to extend your mercy and love to all people. May your truth restore and sanctify us, such that our lives may fully reflect the enduring hope and joy we have in Christ Jesus, our risen Lord. Amen.

I Was There to Hear Your Borning Cry v. 1, 3. 7
I was there to hear your borning cry,
I’ll be there when you are old.
I rejoiced the day you were baptized,
to see your life unfold.
When you heard the wonder of the Word
I was there to cheer you on;
You were raised to praise the living Lord,
to whom you now belong.
I was there to hear your borning cry,
I’ll be there when you are old.
I rejoiced the day you were baptized,
to see your life unfold.

Hymn – Spirit Song (UMH #347)
O let the Son of God enfold you
with his Spirit and his love.
Let him fill your heart and satisfy your soul.
O let him have the things that hold you,
and his Spirit like a dove
will descend upon your life
and make you whole.
Jesus, O Jesus,
come and fill your lambs.
Jesus, O Jesus,
come and fill your lambs.
O come and sing this song with gladness
as your hearts are filled with joy.
Lift your hands in sweet surrender to his name.
O give him all your tears and sadness;
give him all your years of pain,
and you’ll enter into life in Jesus’ name.
Jesus, O Jesus,
come and fill your lambs.
Jesus, O Jesus,
come and fill your lambs.

Hymn – Leaning on the Everlasting Arms (UMH #133)
What a fellowship, what a joy divine,
leaning on the everlasting arms;
what a blessedness, what a peace is mine,
leaning on the everlasting arms.
Leaning, leaning,
safe and secure from all alarms;
leaning, leaning,
leaning on the everlasting arms.
O how sweet to walk in this pilgrim way,
leaning on the everlasting arms;
O how bright the path grows from day to day,
leaning on the everlasting arms.
Leaning, leaning,
safe and secure from all alarms;
Leaning, leaning,
leaning on the everlasting arms.
What have I to dread, what have I to fear,
leaning on the everlasting arms?
I have blessed peace with my Lord so near,
leaning on the everlasting arms.
Leaning, leaning,
safe and secure from all alarms;
Leaning, leaning,
leaning on the everlasting arms.
