Easter Lilies On Sale Now

It's that time of year already! With Easter right around the corner, the Flower Committee is preparing for their annual Easter Lily sale! Forms are available at the church or you may print one from the link below. Flowers this year are $15 each and all orders are due Sunday, March 17th.

GCC Youth Kindness Challenge

Thank you so much to everyone who participated in the February, "Random Acts of Kindness Activities." Our goal was 75 Acts of Kindness and we reached 112!! Great job everyone! Congratulations to Ed Finch for winning our Kindness Jar of Hershey Kisses. Please check out our poster on the Fellowship Hall bulletin board!

It's almost time for Gilford Community Church Food Pantry to start benefiting from the Hannaford Fight Hunger Bag Program! Let everyone know to buy a reusable Fight Hunger Bag starting March 1st at:

1425 Lakeshore Road, Unit D, Gilford NH

For every $2.50 reusable Fight Hunger Bag purchased throughout March 2024 at your selected location, Gilford Community Church Food Pantry will receive $1.00!

GCC HATT Volunteer Update

Our GCC HATT Team for Wednesday, March 6th (4:30-6:30PM) is coming together. Many thanks to those who are already on board. Gals' Night Out

Our GNO is this Friday, March 8th at 6pm! Sheryl Faye will be joining us with her portrayal of "Her Majesty", Queen Elizabeth II, along with a delicious dinner catered by Ellie Murphy.

We will once again be collecting donations for New Beginnings, a local organization offering women and children emergency services and shelter. Please consider bringing toiletries, paper goods or a cash donation.

St. Patrick's Day Dinner

Our St. Patrick's Day Dinner will be held on Saturday, March 16th at 6pm! Tickets are on sale now in the church office, $25 per plate.

We are so excited to announce that new this year, dancers from "The Tara Little Dance Studio" will be here to perform a traditional Irish Step routine before dinner!

Diane Lyons is organizing the dinner and looking for some carrot cake bakers, along with help that day in the kitchen and with clean up.

Reiki

Judy Cook will be offering Reiki after church in the Gathering Room on the following dates:

Meditation

Join us for Meditation with Monica Sawyer, Saturday mornings from 8:30-9 am in the Sanctuary, free of charge.

First Aid Kits Needed

The Laconia Police Department has requested more First Aid Kit donations that contain the following items:

Reclosable sandwich bag (6.5in X 5.875in)

1 pair of gloves

1 mask

Hand sanitizer

Band-Aids

1 inch rolled bandage

5 gauze pads

First aid tape

1 Sanitary napkin (blood absorption)

Antiseptic wipes- individual ones

There is a collection box in the lobby, outside of the Sanctuary.

GCC Youth Updates

So much fun with the GCC Youth Minute to Win It Games!

I am looking for 5-6 volunteers to help with the St. Patrick's Meal that is on March 16th. I am looking for help starting at 6:30- 8:30ish (it may be earlier)

Please let me know if you can help. HS students I can sign your form if you need community service hours.

I have some exciting NEWS!!! We are starting a Youth Group with the Methodist Church. This is for anyone 12 years old and up. We hope to meet once a month and do some fun activities together.

Please let me know if you can attend because we need to plan meals.

March 23rd - Pickleball at Gilford Youth Center. Pizza Drinks and Dessert included. 5:00-7:00pm

Community Night Out BINGO & Potluck Dinner

BINGO Night. Bingo is a popular game of chance. Are you feeling lucky? Prizes will be awarded.

March 24th: Annual Easter Egg Hunt and Crafts at the GCC

11:15-11:30: Easter Egg Hunt outside (weather permitting) or in the sanctuary.

11:30-12:15: Crafts

Each week everyone will get a question from the Sunday School class prior to each service. Please fill in your answer and return to the Sunday School class during coffee hour each week. We will be using these slips for a Children's Day presentation.

It’s fun to have favorite things, places, even people, it makes us all unique. Finding out about others' favorite things can make our community strong as we continue to learn about each other.
