A note of gratitude

This We had a big week of cooking and serving others, and it would not have been possible without the many hands and donations that showed up for the Joint Youth Ministry. Thank you to all who were able to help us pull off Feed the Need meal deliveries & Thanksgiving at Casitas. As we were leaving on Tuesday, the education coordinator Magda handed us a stack of homemade "Thank you" cards from the kids at Casitas. We also received a few messages from the meals we delivered on Sunday, I'm including one here:

"Hello, Lisa and Katrina,

Happy Holidays to you and yours in this season of blessings and appreciation!

I have been one of the very fortunate recipients of the talent, hard work and kindness that the Joint Youth Ministry has graciously extended to folks in our community who have experienced an event or time that was made easier by their generosity. I write to express my gratitude.

It has taken me a couple of days to be able to try all the wonderful items that were beautifully packaged up and delivered to me. The dinner was prepared and cook expertly: cranberry sauce just sweet enough; turkey moist and flavorful; the bright salad most lively with a lemony dressing; the admirable Mrs. Kamala Harris's stuffing lovely---every single bit of this food was delightful! It filled my tummy and warmed my heart.

A triumph to the young chefs who put this wonderful fare together!

Thank you for the abundance of excellent food! Thank you for the kindness and care that the Joint Youth Ministry clearly invested in this endeavor!"

This Sunday we get to be together for regular youth group. We will not have a meeting on Tuesday due to the Thanksgiving holiday, but our December calendar is now out. So many wonderful ways to serve together next month.

Registration is also open for the high school service trip to San Francisco in January. Save your spot today!
