Greetings, Lancers:
This week was highlighted by the amazing news that Sunny Hills was named an inaugural Orange County Impact School by the Orange County Department of Education! This brand new recognition highlights schools across the county that are leading the way with innovative practices that make a meaningful difference for their students. We are only one of 12 Orange County schools that were selected for this honor. What a testament to the dedication and hard work of our Lancer staff, students, and entire community!
In addition to that great news, it was another eventful week around campus, both in the classroom and on the athletic fields. See below for some of the events our students participated in throughout the week, including Model United Nations and the German Club's annual Oktoberfest!
Our 2025 Homecoming tickets went on sale this week for this year's "A Dark Knight" dance on Saturday, November 1. Don't miss out on this year's event! You can purchase your tickets on the SHHS webstore now before prices increase.
After a great win last week over Marina, Varsity Football continues league play tonight at 7:00 PM at Buena Park Stadium against Beckman - let's have a huge turnout tonight by Lancer Nation to support our guys on a Black & Gold theme night! If you cannot make the game, you can watch the livestream here. In other athletics news, both JV and Freshman Football earned victories over Beckman yesterday. Finally, on Senior Night, Girls Volleyball secured a share of the league championship with a win over Cypress last night as well. Congrats, Lancers!
As always, be sure to watch this week's episode of Sunny Side Up below, as well as scroll down for more information about this past week, the week ahead, and so much more! Also, remember to check your email, the SHHS website, and SH social media often for more important information as well.
Have a great weekend!
