It may have been a rainy week on the Hills but that couldn't dampen the exceptional spirit of our Lancers!

Lancer Athletics held our National Signing Day ceremony where we celebrated eight Lancers student-athletes who signed the letters of intent to continue their athletic and academic pursuits in college:

• Sienna Bertsch - Girls Water Polo - CSU Fullerton
• Rachel Haan - Girls Soccer - New Mexico State
• Ilena Hatori - Girls Water Polo - CSU Fullerton
• Connor Irons - Football - Air Force
• Peter Mellana - Baseball - Eastern University
• Madison Moreno - Softball - Southern Utah University
• Hannah Reekstin - Girls Water Polo - CSU Fullerton
• Kayla Taylor - Girls Volleyball - Denison University

Winter Athletics also battled it out in CIF Playoffs this week and saw Girls Water Polo defeat Bonita to advance to Round 2 tomorrow against Canyon at Yorba Linda High School at 2:00 pm! Lancer wrestlers begin their quest for CIF glory today and tomorrow as well! Boys & Girls Soccer and Boys & Girls Basketball all saw their seasons end this week, but we are so proud of how well they competed all year!

Finally, our International Day Assembly and Food Fair (IFF) will be here next Friday, February 16. We cannot wait to celebrate our diversity and cultures here at SHHS! Lancers, buy your tickets early next week to sample food from all over the world on Friday at lunch. See below for more information.

Cheer Competitions

Congratulations to our JV and Varsity cheer squads from their most recent competitions.

Varsity Cheer placed 2nd at Agoura Hills and in the Top 10 at the CIF Southern Section Competition. They advance to Nationals next on February 16th.

JV participated in their first competition at Monrovia High School and came in first!

Our cheerleaders have been working hard and we are so incredibly proud of them!! 🖤💛 

Mayor Dunlap Recognizes Daniela Borruel

SHHS tennis player Daniela Borruel was recognized at the Fullerton City Council meeting for her achievements. In 2023, she was the Player of the Year, Freeway League MVP, CIF girls tennis singles champion in Division Two, and was a member of the Sunny Hills team who were the Freeway League Champions. Her record was an incredible 58-0!
