Happy Friday, Lancers!
Our annual International Week on the Hills is coming next week! There will be Spirit Days for students, the annual International Assembly showcasing our diverse Lancer student cultures, and the International Food Fair at lunch on Friday! This week is always one of the highlights of the year for everyone.
In addition, this year, PTSA will be hosting "A Taste of IFF" including an evening performance of our outstanding International Assembly so that parents can be able to come and watch their students perform. There will be food trucks and silent auction items available as well. Parents and students are encouraged to come outside the gym to support our performers and PTSA on Thursday, February 6 at 5:00 PM for food and the auction then a performance of the International Assembly will take place at 6:00 PM in the gym!
Meanwhile, Winter Athletics celebrated their Senior Nights and began wrapping up their league seasons this past week as well:

Girls' Water Polo defeated Canyon 9-8 to finish league play before CIF!

Girls' Soccer battled Sonora to a 1-1 tie to give them a chance at a league title next week!

This afternoon, Boys' Soccer takes on Canyon at SHHS!

Tonight, Girls' and Boys' Basketball take on Crean Lutheran & Pacifica respectively for their final home games with a Cookout Theme for our students! The Little Lancer Dancers will also be performing at halftime!

Monday saw two outstanding Lancer athletes, Liv Chavez (Golf) & Liam Weinreich (Swim) honored by the Orange County Athletic Directors Association (OCADA) as the year's recipients of the Athletes of Character award!
Finally, our Conservatory of Fine Arts (COFA) students have had a busy couple of weeks of FJUHSD shows that began last Friday with the Dance Showcase followed by the Theater Showcase today. Visual Arts students have their artwork on display during the Visual Arts Showcase at the Muckenthaler Cultural Center through February 9. We have such amazingly artistic Lancers up on the Hills!
