Happy Halloween, Lancers!
It was an extremely eventful week for all our Lancers. Not only was it an amazing Homecoming Week full of fun activities all week leading up to last night's football game, but many other engaging activities were going on throughout the week, including:
- Ag Farm Fest
- COFA Fall Festival
- Homecoming Assembly
- Marching Band & Colorguard's District Showcase
- HoCo Royalty Announcements
- Halloween Costumes
Tomorrow night is our Homecoming Dance in the quad from 7:30 to 10:30 PM! Ticket sales are still available online for the "A Dark Knight" dance on the SHHS webstore through 2:00 PM tomorrow. I cannot wait to see you there, Lancers!
Athletically, I wanted to give a huge shoutout to our outstanding Cross Country teams for their competitiveness all season long! This past week, both our boys and girls competed at Conference Finals at Yorba Regional Park. Our Lancers raced fearlessly as a team and closed out their season with success. Varsity Boys' Finals scores combined with their turnout at Preview earned them a qualifying spot at CIF. We look forward to seeing them race at CIF Prelims on November 15 at Mt. SAC! I am also so proud of both our Girls' Flag Football and Boys' Water Polo teams for such amazing seasons and making it to CIF this year! Great job to all of our Lancers!
Finally, I wanted to thank our amazing PTSA for helping to bring back our very own Winston the Lancer mascot! Winston returned to the Hills in style this week at the Homecoming Assembly and then came out to the football game later that night to mingle with his fans. Expect to see more of Winston as the year goes on. We are so happy to have him back!
As always, be sure to watch this week's episode of Sunny Side Up below, as well as scroll down for more information about this past week, the week ahead, and so much more! Also, remember to check your email, the SHHS website, and SH social media often for more important information as well.
Have a safe Halloween, and remember there is no school for students on Monday!
