Happy Friday, Lancer Families!
Our annual Open House held this past week was a huge success. It was standing room only in the gym as families from all over came to learn more about our amazing campus, programs, and atmosphere here on the Hills. Also, I want to thank our amazing student speakers for an outstanding job describing their experiences as part of the Lancer Family. Overall, it was a great evening to showcase our outstanding school to our future Lancer students! (Click HERE to see the Open House program.)
Meanwhile, Winter Athletics continued their league success this past week as well:
-
Wrestling won their first League Championship since 2007 with a big come-from-behind victory over Pacifica including a program sweep at all levels! Great job, Lancers!
-
Boys' Soccer beat undefeated Foothill 2-1!
-
Girls' Soccer defeated El Modena 3-0.
-
Girls' Water Polo earned a big victory over La Habra 13-3.
-
Tonight, Girls' and Boys' Basketball are on the road against Canyon and Brea respectively!
Today we announced our Employees of the Year today. Congratulations to our Certificated winner, chemistry teacher Alex Hua, and our Classified winner, campus supervisor Randy Avalos! We are so proud of these two amazing members of our staff!
Finally, International Week on the Hills is coming the first week of February! This year, PTSA will be hosting a nighttime performance of our outstanding International Assembly so that parents can be able to come and watch their students perform. There will be food trucks and silent auction items available as well. Come out to the gym to support our students and PTSA on Thursday, February 6 at 5:00 PM for food and the auction then the performances will be held at 6:00 PM!
