Sunset Ridge School-wide fundraiser
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society the week of May 8-12th!
We will be doing a school-wide fundraiser for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society the week of May 8-12th! Several families at our school have benefited from the research that LLS conducts to cure and treat blood cancers. Watch for an email from your child's teacher closer to the week with a classroom link if you would like to give electronically!
Sunset Ridge Families,

Thank you to those 27 of you who took time to answer the Family Engagement Survey. Overall, I was pleased to see an improvement over last year's scores - about 6% in all areas. I also read all of the comments and will think about next steps with those recommendations.

There were several comments about the role of boys, which was interesting. Our school has more students who identify as boys (56%) than girls (44%). One comment expressed concern about using recess as a punishment, one advocated for instruction that matched the typical boy energy, citing concerns about how boys are doing in schools and life - see this article for more, and more.

I'd welcome your feedback in any form - please never hesitate to reach out, chat face-to-face, or share your opinions. We can't get better unless we know how :-)

If you'd still like to offer feedback about class placement for next year, here is the link!
