New Year. New Ways of Being.
Hello Sunshine,

How are you? I am hopeful that the year is off to a great start; that you are in good health and keeping safe. Personally, I feel energized, refreshed, and intently looking forward to what’s to come in 2021.
The New Year typically begins with a list of things we must do. For example Diet, Exercise, Save Money; Living your best life. While these are certainly great goals to accomplish, studies show that 80 percent of people drop them by the second week of February. I’m willing to bet that quick-fix methods fell apart, which lead to people’s frustrations and subsequent ditching of plans. I’m also willing to bet the methods fell apart because people didn’t change their habits and where there is no habit change, lifestyle remains consistent.

This issue focuses our attention on who we must become to receive and sustain our desired outcomes for the year. In the intro video above, I shared my thoughts on setting intentions for the year and identifying ourselves with our desires. In my opinion, identification takes our attention away from doing and focuses our attention on being. And when we are focused on who we are being, what we must do will naturally follow.

For example, if I identify myself as a person that lives a healthy lifestyle. Then I must align and commit to establishing healthy habits that turn into behaviors that last! I must set up conditions for inevitable success so that my new behaviors become my way; it’s simply what I do.
