Somedays, you feel on top of the world, and some days you feel the weight of the world on your shoulders. With School starting this week for some, a variety of emotions can be felt by all of us. Are you excited? Are you anxious? Maybe a little of both. Take time this week to feel your feelings. Being aware of how we think and identifying our emotions can go a long way toward keeping us grounded and balanced. We all have ways to cope or to pick ourselves up when we feel heavy. What is yours? When I feel heavy, a great Yoga practice can turn things around.
Paying attention to our feelings enables us to handle the ups and downs of everyday life without causing strain on our physical and mental health. When we know how we feel, it is called Emotional Intelligence. (Helpguide.org defines Emotional Intelligence as the ability to understand, use, and manage your emotions positively to relieve stress, communicate effectively, empathize with others, overcome challenges and defuse conflict.) Instead of numbing your feeling with distraction, or something else, lean into and understand.
A consistent Yoga practice is one way to connect to your feelings, emotions, and the highest version of yourself. Yoga is a tool to create balance and well-being. It helps with depression and anxiety because as you understand what makes you have certain feelings and emotions, you have the means to overcome or celebrate them.
Yoga will result in a strong and fit body but in today's world, what we really need is better mental well-being. Yoga is a perfect solution.

This year we offer a World of Pure Imagination with Aerial performances to peak into a world of whimsy. We will have over 20 acts to amaze and astound you. The students and teachers at Sunshine Yoga Shack have been polishing their aerial skills all year and cannot wait to show you what they can do. There is a $100 cash prize and a trophy for the best costume—also, a $100 to whoever finds the Golden Ticket. We will have Food Trucks to feed your fancy and cocktails to quench your thirst. When the performances are done, we will turn it up for Kerry Freeman, fresh from recording his first Nashville Album at the after-party.
Love and Light,
Lynn
