We have moved on to mid-summer this week and we are feeling the heat deep in the heart of Texas. Many of us are ready to ride the waves of life and continue moving forward and enjoying new things. Yet, some of us get stuck in the past and it is hard for us to move on.
Speaking of moving onward and upward, this past Saturday I led my first Reiki Level One training. I received my first Reiki training six years ago and I know it has helped me become who I am today. When we attune to Reiki level one we are able to heal ourselves. We had an amazing group of individuals who started their journey. A huge THANK YOU to Angela and Carrie for assisting. And another big thank you to all of my Reiki teachers who helped me along the way.

This week's pose of the week is side lunge or Skandasana. Skanda was a son of Shiva and a god of war. Feel strong in this posture as we move to the side. If you have bad knees only go down halfway. This pose is sometimes called surfer's pose so try and find an easy and smooth transition and you bend one knee and lower down while the other leg is straight.
