Greetings!

You might have noticed the heat. Well, Summer is Pitta Season. If you study the science of Ayurveda you know Pitta is the body type or constitution for FIRE. If you live in a home and someone who always wants the air set on artic, they are probably Pitta dosha.

Our Doshas help us understand the body's rhythm and guide us to find balance in our everyday life. We study Ayurveda (the sister science to yoga) in Yoga Teacher Training's November module. Registration closes on August 10th. See below for more details.

This week's pose of the week is side plank or VASISTHASANA,. Vasisth means best or excellent pose. One great aspect of side-plank pose is it's very good for scoliosis. Using your hand to push the floor away from your body while engaging the core and lifting the hips can help the vertebrae release to a better alignment. If you have shoulder issues, this is a posture to skip. Side-plank can also help increase your pitta by engaging the core so use it wisely.

Showcase is coming!
MONSTER MASH! Sunshine's 5th Annual Aerial Showcase.

Our little witches have been brewing up new aerial skills all year for a chance to put on a show for you. Join all the Ghouls, Monsters, and Creatures for a swinging good time.

This year our showcase will be Saturday, October 2nd, at RED's Roadhouse, 1170 East Kennedale Parkway. Kennedale, Texas 76060. Kids go on at 6:00 pm, and adults start at 7:00 pm. We will have a food truck out back and cocktails available at the bar. Stay for the after-party with music performed by Kerry Freeman.

The venue is inside, so the party is on rain or shine.

Costumes are highly encouraged! $100 cash prize and trophy for the best costume! Pre-sale ticks are $30, kids $20 purchased before September 30th. All tickets will be $40 at the door.

Buy a VIP table for your whole group. This year we have a limited number of VIP Tables available for $450. This package includes tickets for 10 and is reserved in the best location with the best view. First come, first serve! When you buy this option, schedule a private session with your favorite Aerial Teacher for $50.
About Sunshine School of Yoga
Sunshine School of Yoga provides a 200 Hour Teacher Training is a Yoga Alliance approved teacher training with a focus on the science and history of yoga. 

We explore posture, breathe, mindful meditation, and the science behind it. We will move deeper to understand anatomy, the benefits of movement, yoga history, and an exploration of the eight limbs of yoga. We will also learn the art of teaching yoga and how to create a dynamic yoga class.
 
 
 
 
We will begin this year's teacher training on August 28th and meet one weekend a month on Saturday and Sunday.

When you register for Yoga Teacher Training at Sunshine, your all-access membership is included in your tuition for the duration of training!
