Where do I start this week? We are in the middle of May and so much is happening in our little community.
First let's talk about all the crazy energy this week. If you follow the stars or not, you will notice the pull of the moon tonight. It is officially the Super Flower Blood Moon and a total lunar eclipse. It begins at 10:29 pm and full coverage is at 11:11 pm. You cannot make this stuff up. So check out the sky tonight and feel the pull of the moon.
Earlier this week I was invited on BizTV's show Create, Build and Manage Daily. We talked about the studio and the benefits of yoga. Check it out with the YouTube link below. While you are there, subscribe to our channel and leave a comment. It would help us out and it only takes a few moments.
Please help me welcome Brandi as our newest Yoga Teacher! Brandi graduated from Sunshine School of Yoga this past Saturday and her graduation class was amazing. Here is a little info on Brandi...Brandi is a Certified 200 Hour Yoga Teacher and proud graduate of the Sunshine School of Yoga. She has her B.F.A. in Studio Art with an emphasis on Sculpture, and she is currently pursuing her Master’s Degree in Fine Arts with an emphasis on Glass Studies. When Brandi is not practicing yoga she can be found blowing glass, hanging out with her family, or chasing down random dogs just so she can cuddle them. She is a great addition to the team.
Carrie, Mallory and I took a trip to Legend Senior Living to speak about yoga this past week. I am excited to introduce Sunshine Senior Yoga a program dear to my heart. As some of you know, I taught seniors yoga for many years and saw first hand how yoga can transform the minds and body of our seniors. We decided to take the yoga to this lovable community with our new program. If you would like to see us bring this program to your location reach out to Carrie at [email protected].
Sunshine School of Yoga is our training program and it is going virtual. Of course we have training in the studio but over the next few months you will see many offerings available online. Keep an eye out.
Training at home is great but in person is the best way to get involved with the community and the energy. Sunshine School of Yoga has many opportunities to sign up for training. Aerial Teacher Training and Reiki Level One will happen in June. Reiki Level Two in July and in August our 200 Hour Teacher Training program will begin again. Do you want to perform in Showcase? Sign up to be a part of A Land of Pure Imagination, our 6th Annual Aerial Showcase at Reds Roadhouse in Kennedale on October 22nd, it is under our events. The registration is open to anyone who wishes to perform. Check out the link below. There will be a $100 non refundable charge to preform this year. The children will have a separate performance around Christmas, so only adult aerials please register.
