What do we do to ourselves? And we all do it. There are days when we are very destructive to ourselves. It may be our thoughts, our habits, or the energy we surround ourselves with. We know better. Most of us realize negative patterns in our life and we plan to make a change. However, it is in small moments, that single second we make a choice or think the thought that can hold us back.
Our yoga practice actually trains our brain to create a pause in these moments. Within the pause we can make better choices. We can create little moments for building something better. Constructing a better life one moment at a time.
How does yoga give us time and opportunity to create this pause? Our yogic breathing. Slowing down our breath and creating a harmonious pattern with the inhale and exhale slows down the central nervous system, our heart rate, and our thoughts. Creating space for opportunity and better choices.

I have some sad news to announce. Angela will be leaving us and moving to Galveston. Her last official classes will be May 7th. Please join her to say goodbye for now, but know she will not be far away. She plans to visit often. Also, she has started her own Yoga business and will be having yoga classes on the beach in Galveston. I will have her link on the web page so we can all stay in touch. Her ACRO and Partner workshop has a few spots open. Sign up soon. as I am sure it will be full.
Aerial Teacher Training is back and scheduled for 2 Saturdays, June 18th and 25th. This will be an opportunity for 25 CECs with Yoga Alliance. In this training we will review yoga, the roots and history, the science and the energetic qualities and then learn how it applies to aerial hammocks. We will brake down basic aerial skills and how to teach them safely to all body types and experience levels. This training includes one month of membership to take the required aerial classes.
Reiki Certifications and Attunements will be in June. We will offer Reiki level one. Perfect to help align your energy and heal yourself. In July we will offer Reiki level two for those experienced with Reiki one and ready to take the next step to work on others. Reiki Mastership will be offered on a private, per person basis. Pricing for these opportunities, Level one $150, Level two $250 and Mastership $500.
Calling all Aerialist! Sign up to perform and be a part of A Land of Pure Imagination, our 6th Annual Aerial Showcase at Reds Roadhouse in Kennedale on October 22nd, it is under our events. The registration is open to anyone who wishes to perform. Check out the link below. There will be a $100 non refundable charge to preform this year. The children will have a separate performance around Christmas, so only adult aerials register please.
