What does your energy say about you? When you walk into a room or have a conversation your energy is affecting the people around you. Maybe you are lifting others up, maybe not. Everyone is fighting a battle others cannot see. The energy within us is what we send out in the world. How people treat you is a reflection of their world and their energy. One thing I have learned over the years with my yoga practice is what I send out will be returned to me.
When we lead with love and with our hearts, the negative influence of the world cannot harm us or destroy our inner peace. Maybe, we make the world a better place by lifting our own vibration.
Yoga can lift your vibration and bring about harmony within the body and mind.
Nothing proves leading with the heart brings us into balance more than crow pose or Bakasana. Early in my yoga practice, I struggled with this posture until I let go and leaned in, heart first.
Come into a prayer squat and place your hands on the floor in front of you. Make right angles with the elbows and spread the fingers wide. Lean forward and place the knees on your upper arms toward your armpits. Gaze forward and lead with the heart. Try lifting one set of toes and then the other. Your feet will float up. It is a balance posture, not strength.
