Remembering 9/11 this week brings up many emotions for me. I remember where I was and what I was doing. I also remember what happened after that tragic day. The Country came together and united. There was no black and white and no red or blue. We were humans. I would love to see more of that in the world today.
One thing about Sunshine Yoga Shack is that we are united. We connect and unify during our yoga and aerial practice. It does not matter who you are or where you are from, or your skill level. We are yogis and we are aerialists, together.
When you come to class you can see the connection. When you come to our showcase rehearsals you see this very special place where we lift each other up. No matter what.
Each year we put on a showcase of talent and this is our fifth year. We start each class from scratch and build these amazing aerial skills. Every year the skills become better and the performances are more amazing. Starting where you are today and see the change happen with practice and dedication.
The Fifth Annual Aerial Showcase will be in the big hanger at Reds Roadhouse on October 2nd. We have plenty of space. The show begins at 7:00 pm and the doors open at 6:15. There will be a food truck, cocktails for sale at the bar, and live music at the after-party until midnight. Pre-sale tickets are $30 and $40 at the door. Buy your ticket now and make a date for a big party and a whole lot of sunshine.
The Showcase will be a big costume party. Please wear your favorite costume. There will be a $100 Cash prize for the best costume and a trophy. Don't forget bragging rights!
Monday will mark the beginning of our new Ashtanga class. This is very traditional and will be the same series of poses in each class. Try it out.
There are spots available for Mallory's Equinox Yoga, Nidra, and Sound Bath on Friday the 17th at 7:30 pm. Come celebrate the change of the season and finding balance.
