We are never guaranteed tomorrow so make today count. We delay our dreams, we ignore our self-care and we put off the words of love and encouragement to our loved ones. Do the thing, hug the neck, and say the words, today.
The aerial picture above was taken by Wesley Fikes and he will join us again this year, at the Fifth Annual Aerial Showcase. Our very own, Vanessa Polozola, of DFW Photo, and Carter Guthrie will be there as well to capture the event. If you have ever tried to take a picture of movement you can understand how hard this picture was to get.
Sunshine Salutations, our weekly newsletter, typically highlights yoga postures. However, over the next few weeks, we would like to highlight our aerial program and the upcoming showcase. The aerial trick above is Dracula. I will teach this trick and several ways to get into it in my Thursday aerial class.
When I took my first aerial class it changed my world. I felt like I was able to fly and it started a passion for me. I am proud and excited to share this passion with as many people who will listen or venture into an aerial class. All of the aerial teachers are pros who break down each move and make it easy to understand. I feel aerial is an art form and a way to express the magic in each of us. If you have not been to an aerial class I ask you to try one and bring an open mind.
With the help of Kayla and Jennifer in 2017, our Aerial Showcase began and has evolved to an amazing time of year. Each performer designs and develops their routine to express emotion and beauty. It is unbelievable to see all of the talent our studio produces. Our teachers are the best and help build the silks needed to create an amazing routine.
This year is our Fifth Annual Aerial Showcase. We will be in the big hanger at Reds Roadhouse on October 2nd. We have plenty of space. The show begins at 7:00 pm and the doors open at 6:15. There will be a food truck, cocktails for sale at the bar, and live music at the after-party until midnight. Pre-sale tickets are $30 and $40 at the door. The show is spectacular.
Don't forget about the COSTUME CONTEST! $100 Cash prize for the best costume and a trophy. This year's contest will be judged by three impartial judges. Eric Rozak, one of the producers of the show, Kerry Freeman, from the Kerry Freeman Band, and Aleisha, Reds Roadhouse Coordinator. Who will take home the prize?
Mallory will host an Equinox Yoga, Nidra, and Sound Bath on Friday the 17th at 7:30 pm. The equinox is the time of the year with equal parts day and night. It is the transition between the seasons. Please reserve your spot.
Love and Light,
Lynn
