According to the U.S. Green Building Council (USBC), LEED certified (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) buildings in the country saved an estimated $1.2 billion in energy costs between 2015 and 2018. LEED is the “most widely used green building rating system in the world, providing a framework for healthy, highly efficient, and cost-saving green buildings. LEED certification is a globally recognized symbol of sustainability achievement and leadership.”

Keeping LEED buildings clean and well-maintained is one of Sunshine Cleaning Systems’ specialties. Adhering to the strict requirements of a Green building requires expertise, high-tech equipment and the experience to be environmentally conscious in every detail. Using green-certified cleaning products is just one step. Examples of other essential practices include:

  • Using cleaning devices powered by ionized or electrolyzed water
  • Purchasing disposal products, such as trash bags and towels, that meet EPA guidelines
  • Sourcing hand sanitizers, soap and hand cleaners void of harsh or toxic chemicals

Sunshine team members invest in on-going certification programs and training to ensure we remain on top of Green Building standards and are prepared to serve our growing list of LEED-certified building customers.
