a grey tabby cat and a light brown dog with floppy ears and a grey plush elephant and a toy school bus and a toy fire truck and a spider man and a children's book arranged randomly
Something we're trying out: children who attend our daily virtual drop-in are invited to share! It's still OK to attend if you don't have something to share! Drop in anytime from 9:30 to 10:30 am. Here's the Zoom link!

Monday: Pets and/or Stuffies
Tuesday: Share a book or song
Wednesday: Share something with wheels
Thursday: Favourite hats/shirts/masks
Friday: Superhero toys or costumes
Saturday: What did you see when you went for a walk?
YOU are East End Children's Centre's community, and this short meeting is for YOU! As a registered charity receiving government funding, we are accountable to YOU! We will open the meeting with a few Circle Time songs (because we're also answerable to your children!) followed by about 30 minutes of meeting business:

  • Review of the Annual Report
  • Review and approval of the 2020 Audited Financial Statements
  • Appointment of the Auditor for 2021
  • Election of the 2021-22 Board of Directors

Please send us an email to register.

Important: A Survey Examining How Ontario Families are Coping!
computer monitor with the text Survey on it and a graphic suggesting questions beneath it
The Ontario Parent Survey is being conducted by McMaster University and the Offord Centre for Child Studies to measure and understand how families with young children are coping during the pandemic. The information collected for this survey will be used to help child and youth serving sectors ensure programs are responsive to the changing needs of children and families. It will always be important to understand child well being, resilience and struggle. Please participate!
We're Recruiting Board Members!
East End Children's Centre's (EECC) Board of Directors is the official operator of EECC, and makes key decisions on programming, planning, operations, governance, fundraising and finances, among other topics. EECC stays community driven because local parents, grandparents, caregivers and other key community members volunteer to serve.

Learn more about our board recruitment and email us at eecc@rogers.com to ask questions or apply!
How Did I Get on This Mailing List?
If you're receiving this weekly newsletter by email, it's because you either subscribed, registered for one of our Zoom events or more likely you wrote your email address on our EECC EarlyON registration card. It's implied consent, in that case. Two things we want you to know:
1) We ALWAYS keep your contact information private. We will never sell, trade or share your email address or any other information about you/your family, with anyone.
2) If you wish to unsubscribe (link at the bottom of the email), nobody's feelings will be hurt! We want this to be a newsletter parents and caregivers enjoy, but if it feels like "one more thing" in your inbox, we're OK with you unsubscribing. There will always be a link on our Facebook page if you'd prefer to find it there.
