As we move toward spring and we see and hear more and more kids playing outdoors, I’m always reminded of that time in my youth when winter turned to spring, and sports and other extracurricular activities were such a big part of my life. But I draw from more than my own personal experience when I share with you that the many clubs, activities and extracurricular activities offered to students at our schools are critically important strategies for helping our students engage in their learning.
