Thank you for your understanding as we navigate trying times. As an update, I wanted to inform you that the teen connected to the Southwind High School threats is now in custody and currently being transported from Nashville. 

Moments ago, I joined the Shelby County Sheriff's Office to support their announcement of this information to the public. I share with you to reassure you that we take all threats seriously. 

As the calls and posts regarding Southwind High School initiated the subsequent panic across the district and deployment of a massive amount of resources, it was important to pursue until the individual was found. This investigation is ongoing and additional information is unavailable.
