Dear SMILES Clients, Families, and Volunteers,

We hope you've heard about the exciting improvements coming to SMILES through our Capital Campaign! These projects will allow us to better serve the community for many years to come. Some of the exciting additions include:

• An expansion of our horse barn
• Larger stalls designed for our draft horses
• A dedicated HEARTS space and Education Center
• A covered outdoor arena
• A SureHands lift installed outside to improve accessibility

As exciting as these improvements are, they also bring some uncertainty.

After much discussion and careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision to postpone this year's Superstar Horse Show. With construction timelines still changing and many unknowns surrounding when different phases of the project will be completed, we feel this is the safest decision for our clients, volunteers, horses, and spectators.

We know how much the Superstar Horse Show means to so many members of our SMILES family. It is one of our favorite events each year, and we share in your disappointment. At this time, we are unable to announce a new date because the construction schedule remains fluid. As soon as we have a better understanding of the timeline, we will determine whether we are able to reschedule the event and will communicate those plans with everyone.

Thank you for your understanding, patience, and continued support as we work through this season of growth. While we're disappointed to make this announcement, we know these improvements will create even greater opportunities for SMILES in the future.

What to Expect Next

We will continue to keep you updated as construction progresses and appreciate your flexibility throughout this process. We will send out communication in the coming weeks before construction begins to alert you of the projects and safety considerations.
