OET Recommends: Vivobarefoot Shoes
Vivobarefoot shoes are one of my favorite shoes and ones I highly recommend. When I look for shoes for myself or to recommend to clients, I look for several features. First, the shoe should be flat or zero-drop which means the heel is not elevated above the front of the shoe and the toes don't curl upward. Second, I want the shoe to be foot-shaped which means being widest at the toes allowing natural toe splay. Third, I look for shoes that are flexible in all directions allowing normal foot function. Fourth, I look for minimal stack height which allows you to feel the ground under your feet giving you better proprioception and stability. Fifth, I want the shoes to be comfortable and stylish. This month's Key to Health: Community
Humans are social beings and we need to feel love and connection to other human beings. A community give us support, encouragement, love, and a sense of belonging.
