As the difficulties from last year subside and business and economic factors begin to improve, we are seeing increasing lead-times for many of the electronic components used in our products. Plainly put, component manufactures are not able to keep up with demand resulting in quoted deliveries extending months out. In addition, we are also noticing prices inching higher on a broad range of raw materials. These trends will likely persist and even worsen for the foreseeable future.
We encourage all our customers to plan ahead. You can help us minimize disruptions in the supply chain in one of two ways:
Scheduled Deliveries
The best thing you can do to mitigate issues is to place orders now. A scheduled order will help assure on-time delivery and locks-in current pricing.
Demand Forecast
The second-best thing you can do is to provide demand forecasts of the SCIDYNE products and quantities you anticipate needing. This non-binding information helps us plan our own material requirements for the coming year. Future SCIDYNE product availability based on demand forecasts is not assured.
