Fiscal Close Information for 2018-2019
Purchase Order requests for amounts over $100,000 should be submitted before May 1st with complete documentation if orders are needed prior to fiscal year end, June 30. Requests for purchase orders over $5,000 must be submitted by May 25th.  
CA Partial Tax Exemption for qualifying R&D equipment
The CA Partial Sales Tax Exemption for qualifying R&D Equipment guidelines have been amended effective immediately . Qualified property must meet the established UC definition for capital equipment (Accounting Manual P-415-10) , including the following threshold for capitalization: 
· Infrastructure and buildings: $35,000
· Equipment: $5,000  
This clarification is made based on feedback from the California State Auditors (CDTFA) and UC’s tax consultant. For questions about the CA Partial Sales Tax Exemption we encourage you to review the FAQ or you may contact the Accounts Payable help desk at .
