Ministry During COVID-19
In the face of the temptation to succumb to fear and panic, I'm so encouraged by the witness of many in the church around the world. The Gospel is a powerful, unique word of hope and peace in the midst of crisis. It was good to celebrate the Gospel and worship together via Live Stream this morning. If you missed it, you can view it here:
But how else will we seize this opportunity to support and encourage the church and community in Jesus' name?

1. We passionately believe that LIFE Groups should continue to connect and pray regularly.

Although we are canceling all groups and programs for the coming week (and probably indefinitely) , we encourage LIFE Groups to continue to meet virtually in observance of the CDC guidelines (see below for more information).

Why?

  • The church should not stop:
  • connecting,
  • praying together
  • edifying one another.

  • The corporate disciplines that we have embraced during peace-filled seasons have forged the foundation we need to cope and thrive during crisis.
  • Check out the Wise and the Foolish Builders in Matthew 7:24-29

We hope that LIFE Groups will connect, study and pray together via Zoom, Facetime, Google Hangout or Group phone Calls. Share prayer requests and devotional encouragements through text and email.  , or pray together via a group phone call, or share prayer requests and devotional encouragements through text and email.

To pray for the wider TCC community, join the prayer vigil here

2. We encourage groups, especially group leaders, to reach out to group members and neighbors to assess needs.

Seize the opportunity to care for the needs of:
Your LIFE Group Members -
• Help with errands, communication, pantry organization, etc.
The Wider Community -
• This is also a great time for us as the church to love our wider TCC community and neighbors.
• If you would like to join our list of helpers for odd jobs (grocery or food delivery, rides, childcare, etc.) you can sign up here .
• After receiving your sign-up, we’ll be in touch with the specific need and safety procedures, which we are developing.

3. Our community has resources to share with those in need.
If you and someone you know are in need of food, our Loaves and Fishes Food Pantry has a modest supply of goods.
We are thankful for Dave and Diane Newcomb in their leadership of the food pantry outreach. We anticipate our food pantry to see extra use over these next few weeks.
If you are able please consider donating non-perishable and non-expired items.

For those experiencing financial hardship during this pandemic it is our joy to invite you to apply for support via the Deacon’s Fund
This fund is not only used to serve real needs in the community directly, but it’s a resource that members of our TCC community could utilize to help meet the needs of neighbors and others in Metrowest.
Please fill out this form and email it to [email protected] :

*Out of an abundance of caution, we are canceling all TCC programs and groups from Saturday, March 14th - Saturday, March 21st.
We strongly recommend that all of our community follows the CDC guidelines

We also strongly recommend that those at higher risk, especially older adults and those with chronic medical conditions, follow these CDC guidelines :

Thanks,
Kyle
