WEEKLY WRAP UP for Friday, Feb. 21, 2020
SAVE THE DATE -- Saturday, April 25, 2020

A message from your Chamber
The Boys & Girls Club has a great opportunity to double all of their donations with a match from the St. David's Foundation Grant.
Here is a letter from Erica Henderson, president of the advisory board...
We have all heard that it takes a village to ensure the safety and success of a child. Your generosity during Amplify ATX to the Boys & Girls Club of East Williamson County (BGCEWC) is needed to build a school year and summer club for all deserving youth in Taylor, Granger, Thrall, Bartlett, Coupland and Hutto.
Why give now?
To date we have collected only one-half of our operating budget for 2020 - mostly through a St. David's Foundation grant. This funding comes to us with the specific requirements to hire more professionals and ensure that we welcome families who want to send their children to our Club but cannot due to the need to hire more staff professionals and to expand the facilities.
From now until March 5, St. David's Foundation will MATCH every online donation at amplifybgcewc.org
Here's How You and Your Employees Can Help
  • Make your gift now at amplifybgcewc.org
  • Use the "Fundraise" button at amplifybgcewc.org to set up your own donation page
  • Share on social media and encourage friends and family to donate by March 5th for matching funds
  • Contact Chris Buerger at buerger@bgctx.org to get our posters for your business locations
Thanks in advance for your support

Volunteers needed
The Chamber will host its third Trades Day Career Fair on March 4 and we need your help.
We first need business people who are willing to donate an hour or two of their time to conduct mock interviews. We provide some basic questions and the students but we need them to have feedback from you -- our small and larger employers who can offer real suggestions to succeed in the future.
We also need people who can help us guide students through the event which runs 9 a.m.-3 p.m. at the Williamson County Expo Center. If you can help us for half or all of that time, we would really appreciate it.
If you can help, please send us an let us know your preferred area and time and we will get you signed up! Send that information to info@taylorchamber.org or call it in to 512-352-6364.

Don't forget about the location change
Don't forget that Monday's Chamber program and lunch has moved to the Holiday Inn Express & Suites, 180 NW Carlos G. Parker Blvd.
Dana Platt, the Community Services Director for CARTS (Capitol Area Rural Transportation System)  will present exciting information on CARTS future plans in Taylor.
Arrive early for one-one one networking prior to the program and lunch which begins at noon. Because we need time to get everyone served by Luigi's Italian Restaurant, our typical introductions and announcements will need to be done prior to noon.
If you want a little more time to give information about your business or program, consider sponsoring one of the monthly meetings. The $100-sponsorship is a $130 value and includes two lunches, time to talk about your business and advertising on table tents and in all related marketing materials. Call us at 512-352-6364 to learn more.
