Colorado Gives
EVLT raises most of its operating funds during the last 2 months of each year!

We participate in Colorado Gives Day which will stretch your donation if you make it by December 8th. You can  Schedule your online donation today  and make an impact on local land conservation.

By joining other conservation-minded donors on Colorado Gives Day, your donation will have the greatest possible impact. A portion of the $1 Million Colorado Gives Day incentive fund - one of the largest in the country - increases the value of every donation.

Whether you are a new or returning donor, your support is critical , appreciated, and goes a long way to preserving the character this community we love so much.

Join in support of EVLT and you will make a huge impact! You help us steward our existing conserved lands and work to protect more land, wildlife habitat, ranches, and public access to nature in Eagle County.

The Annual 28 and Counting

Eagle Valley Land Trust has finished this year's annual monitoring of our community's conserved properties, and they look great. This summer, over 100 staff hours were spent on the land, helping protect and sustain some of your favorite places in the valley. We'd like to thank all of our landowners who have partnered with Eagle Valley Land Trust to steward their properties so well this year, and we look forward to continuing to uphold our stewardship promise to our community. We would also like to thank our generous donors and supporters who make these critical efforts possible.

Land conservation is not finished once a conservation easement is complete.

Farewell to Matt Stern
Farewell to  Matt Stern  our Stewardship Specialist extraordinaire! He's on to try out a different potential career path just down the street. Matt did a fantastic job in his nearly 1.5 years with EVLT. He firmly reinvigorated an in-house monitoring program, made great impressions on the landowners with whom we deal, was an enthusiastic fundraiser, and a true jack of all trades. We'll miss you Matt and you've always got friends at EVLT.
Working in collaboration with Walking Mountains Science Center, Matt Stern leads a class of EVLT's "Future Conservationists" Program.

Did you know...?
The Land and Water Conservation Fund has been defunded.

Since 1965, federal revenue from oil and gas leases has been used to help acquire about seven million acres of land and easements for more than 41,000 projects in 50 states...now the funding is up for grabs... Do you think conservation will win this funding back?
