Program Spotlight: Register now for the 2nd Annual Advocacy Summit!
Girls Inc. of Greater Philadelphia & Southern New Jersey is excited to announce that our 2nd Annual Advocacy Summit will be held virtually on Saturday, October 24, 2020!

This year, our theme is She Leads: Inspiring and Engaging Girls in Civic Engagement. The summit is free and open to girls in kindergarten through 12th grade living in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

She Leads: Inspiring and Engaging Girls In Civic Engagement will include interactive workshops designated by age group, guest speakers, a mock election, mentoring, and a She Leads Celebration complete with live DJ and giveaways!

Teen Advocacy Council Selection
Congratulations to our Girls Inc. Ambassador, Anjali, for her acceptance into the Girls Inc. national Teen Advocacy Council in one of their most competitive application years yet!

Anjali will join Girls Inc. peers from Alameda, Chicago, Carpinteria, Santa Barbara, Sarasota, Long Island, Central Alabama, Portland, Orange County, and Santa Fe to learn and grow as advocates, and to voice their concerns and desire for change at the highest level of government.

Now through December 31, you can vote for Girls Inc. of Greater Philadelphia & Southern New Jersey through the Target Circle program to help determine how Target’s end-of-year donation will be divvied up. The more votes we get, the higher Target's donation will be!

How to participate:
  • Enroll in Target Circle (Target's free loyalty program): Create a Target Circle account at target.com/circle, through the Target app, or by giving you phone number at checkout.
  • Earn Votes: Guests earn one vote every time they make an eligible purchase. See terms and conditions.
  • In Store: Scan your wallet barcode in the Target App at the time of purchase OR scan the barcode on your receipt in the Target App within 7 days of purchase.
  • Online: Sign in to your Target account and place a qualifying order.
  • Cast Votes: Log in to your Target account and follow the prompts and instructions to vote.

Every vote counts and you can keep voting for us as you earn votes between now and December 31!

Advocacy Corner: Get Out the Vote!
Planning to vote by mail in the upcoming election? You have options for returning your ballot!
PA voters:
  • By mail: If you can - mail back your ballot as soon as possible. Don't wait until the deadline!
  • Non-mail options: You can deliver your ballot to your county election office. In some counties, you can bring you ballot to a secure drop box. Contact your election officials to find out more about drop box options.
NOTE: Pennsylvania uses a two-envelop mail ballot system, so make sure you follow instructions carefully & return your ballot with both envelops!

NJ voters:
  • By mail: If you can - mail back your ballot as soon as possible. Don't wait until the deadline!
  • Non-mail options: Your ballot can be returned in person to a secure drop box or you can take it to one of the select physical polling locations.
