Busting Drug and Alcohol Policy Myths

By: Rebecca Goldberg

Connecticut employers often struggle with questions about managing employee substance use.

The recent legalization of recreational cannabis in Connecticut has only added to the haze around this topic.

This article busts myths around employers’ abilities to address employee substance use.

If you would like to donate food, please visit the websites linked below for locations that accept donations.

We will have some donation boxes at the chamber as well.

Ways to help with Food Insecurity

With many families in our community discovering a part of their income has recently disappeared with the cessation of SNAP benefits, the Chamber is putting forward some organizations that can help those in need.

These organizations need your help as demand for their already stretched services will be put to the test. Their clients are likely your neighbors, friends, or perhaps someone in your extended family.

Please look into your heart and give what you can. If you can give money, every donation will help.

Hello!

I am excited to share an exclusive year-end digital package designed specifically for Milford Chamber members. This entire campaign runs on WTNH News 8 platforms, giving your business instant trust and recognition with local viewers. News 8 has been Connecticut’s most established station for more than 75 years, and this package puts your brand directly in front of that loyal audience.

This is a great opportunity to boost visibility at the end of the year, especially when many businesses slow down advertising. It is priced to be accessible yet powerful, and I highly recommend it for any business looking to stand out, increase awareness, and generate momentum heading into 2026.

If you are interested or have questions, please reach out to me as soon as possible so we can discuss your goals and get your campaign creatives prepared.

I look forward to working with you all!

Best,

Emily
