North Central Sight Services, Inc. (NCSS) has been designated as an Educational Improvement Organization by the PA Dept of Community and Economic Development (DCED) for providing innovative educational programs that enhance the public-school curriculum.

EITC gifts support our Passport to Healthy Vision program, which is an interactive educational program on eye health and safety for students ages 5 – 12 who are enrolled in a summer day camp or a school year latchkey program.

Vision screenings are also provided to detect common vision problems including myopia (nearsightedness), hyperopia (farsightedness), astigmatism (asymmetrical focus, anisometropia (unequal power between eyes), strabismus (improper alignment of the eyes) and anisocoria (pupils are not the same size) in children.

By contributing to NCSS through the EITC program, businesses can receive a tax credit while making a positive impact on students in Bradford, Centre, Clinton, Lycoming, Sullivan, and Tioga counties.

Eligible businesses can apply through PA’s DCED electronic single application system to start getting EITC credits. A full overview of the EITC Program and Guidelines can be found here.
